Here at GE Photography, based in South West Scotland in Dumfries and Galloway, we provide our services all across the country, as well as take on some projects throughout the UK. We offer product photography as part of our range of commercial photography services.

Product photography involves taking pictures of products for commercial use. Product photography is not as easy as simply shooting the products, but is a true investment in order to see results and make your product stand out from the crowd. This type of photography usually refers to items that are small enough to fit onto a standard table, but may be presented in all manner of ways in order to make it look as attractive as possible.

In order to capture the product at its best, it is necessary to consider the setting of the product and how it will be viewed when selling the product, whether in a catalogue, brochure or website. The image should be realistic so that potential customers get a true sense of what the product is like. Customers rely on good quality product photography to get an idea of whether they would like to make the purchase or not. There are various options we will discuss with the client when it comes to product photography, and depending on the product, it could include ghost mannequins, background considerations, lifestyle photographic elements, or whether it needs to follow strict requirements such as when selling on Amazon.
